Ellie's First Week at Home

First night at home, 2 days old...just relaxing in her cozy chair
 Hanging with dad
 Such a sweet little face

3 days old, hanging out with dad and Grandma Cassandra
She had two weeks to regain her birth weight, but our little over achiever did it in 5 days!  Appetite, not an issue!!
Us and Dr. Smith.  We absolutely love her and appreciate her taking care of us!!
Ellie takes her first trip after her doctor's appointment to see Auntie Emily!
 SERIOUSLY
 TOO
CUTE!

Ellie Taylor Miller has Arrived!!

Ellie Taylor Miller has arrived!  She made her debut on January 19th, 2012 at 9:18am.  She was born at OHSU here in Portland and was delivered by Dr. Megan Smith and Dr. Brett White.  We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful and wonderful bundle of joy!

 Getting measured, 8lbs 2oz & 20" long
 Her not so tiny footprints!
Greg realizing he is a dad?!?
 So precious!
 A very content little Ellie
My new favorite past time...just staring at her little face!

 Yep, still staring!
Greg's cubby hole nest in our room
Just so sweet.

Ellie's Baby Shower! 12/10/11

Two of my wonderful cousins Ann and Emily along with my BFF Annie created a fantastic day for my baby shower!  It was a ton of fun and such an enjoyable time spent celebrating our little Ellie.
I think she is going to be a well loved little one.

Christmas 2011

So with the preparation of our belated Christmas present later this month (Ellie - ETA 1/19/12!) there was not much energy put into decorating for Christmas.  The only picture of the tree is a picture of her new stroller from her Grandma Sandy and Grandpa Miller where the tree makes an appearance in the background.  With that said...the gingerbread shenanigans continued again this year.

While we were in Alaska, dark winter days and hurricane winds sparked a new Christmas tradition - Gingerbread Mania!  This year was no different...

Gardening 2011: Preparing for Parenting?

Greg and I decided to "farm" this year and start a garden.  I stuck with the seedling preparations and Greg took over when the "farming" portion began (this coincided with the time I spent inside trying to discover the cure for morning sickness).

I think it is safe to say if time spent pruning and raising these tomatoes were any indication of Greg's parenting...Ellie is going to be one spoiled little daddy's girl!

Babymoon Part Two: San Diego!

Why not take a long weekend and head south for one last trip?!  After Thanksgiving we packed up and did just that.  Sea World, Air & Space Museum, and a day spent strolling through Balboa Park.  We can't wait to pack up Ellie in the future and bring her down to what we like to call "the mainland's Hawaii".
